Perfect fit. Love them

This is a very durable well made pair of shorts. So much of my outdoor shorts these days are made of more synthetic materials, I suppose it’s for breathability and athletic fit, however they just don’t feel rugged and long lasting like clothes used to be.I’d never heard of The American Outdoor Brand before ordering these, but I like what they’ve done here so now I’m looking for more.The materials overall do feel more like construction pants which make me confident to wear these in tough er terrain. In fact I was just bouldering at a National Park and I grabbed these knowing that I’d be rubbing against rough and jagged rocks. And just as expected, these came out without a scratch or blemish in sight. I did a lot of climbing that day, often sliding against rough rocks but no worries thanks to these.Plus I appreciate the additional touches they made from zippers to pockets. In addition to the main front and back pockets, there’s also a vertical pocket next to a horizontal zipper pocket on the right side. The zipper is especially helpful during activities, projects, and adventures in preventing important IDs, cards, etc from falling out. I sometimes need to remove my wedding ring in risky situations so a closed pocket is vital for loss prevention. These have fast become some of my favorite shorts. They're made of a durable material that's solid but not too hot, and they don't have the stupid looking jean pockets like some shorts of similar material do. You've got the standard vertical pocket seams you'd expect. There's also a good selection of pockets on them, which is great for holding the various things I bring with me on the daily. They fit as expected and are pretty comfortable, though they are a bit stiff when you first put them on after the wash (similar to how jeans are). I quite like them and thoroughly recommend them however.

Hubby loves these American Outdoorsman shorts. They fit true to size and are comfortable. There are plenty of pockets to fit his phone, pocket knife, and wallet, with a few more to spare. They're plenty sturdy, but still light weight. This was a great find!

A great pair of shorts that has a flex waistband and has 6 pockets. I absolutely love the back pockets on how wide and deep they are. Perfect for putting a cell phone and not worry about it falling out while sitting. The shorts fit true to size and are very comfortable. Great value on these shorts that can be worn with a variety of tops. Solid value.
