Super light weight fabric and perfect for summer. They look great. I like the sizing. I work in a building that has limited AC so having pants like these have been great for the warm weather.
My husband loves these pants! I ordered these a couple of years back and he searched the back orders and ordered he a few more pair.
These are my favorite pair of pants. Comfortable, great fitting and water repellant. I liked them so much, I bought them in 3 additional colors. Five stars all the way!
These are actually excellent pants, I feel comfortable comparing them to my Mission Workshop Signal LT pants that cost about 225$/pair and are hard to get (they have a few more colors). The seams are solid, the material is breathable and light but still solid and flexible enough to be very comfortable - I want light a bit more than I insist on solid but I appreciate the combination the most. The five pocket design and strong mesh pocket material is so much better than what I often get when trying to find pants like this.
When I go backpacking, I often like to wear pants, even in the summer, since it helps to protect against sunburn and bug bites. Historically I've spent more to buy high end pants like the Outdoor Research Ferrosi pants. Those are really excellent, but they are also expensive. So when I saw these pants from The American Outdoorsman for about half the cost, I was curious to give them a try!Overall, I think these pants are good quality for the price. The fabric is really stretchy, so even though they are slim fitted, they can stretch to accommodate all kinds of body shapes (even my thunder thighs) and all kinds of movement. However, I didn't feel like this fabric is quite as breathable as the Ferrosi pants I'm used to. They might be less ideal in really hot days. The pockets interior is made with a mesh fabric, which I'm sure helps to cut down on the weight and increase breathability, but it's not my favorite. Some items I carry (a pen, my keys) get snagged on that mesh and don't slip out easily. A minor annoyance. When I compare the build quality against my high-end pants, these pants are not quite as well built. The stitching is looser and there's not as much bar tacking and other reinforcement in the stress points. This is probably not a problem for light duty usage, but if you plan to take these out for heavy use (e.g. a long backpacking trip), you might find it worthwhile to invest in some higher end pants.Again, I think these are really good for the price point. If you need nice-looking pants that are light and stretchy, without costing too much, these fit that description! But if you want something really durable, you'll probably need to pay more for a high-end outdoor brand.
