The term "shirt jacket" can mean different things. In this case it means this is an incredibly warm lined flannel shirt. The warmest flannel shirt I have, and warmer than my other flannel jacket shirt. I could wear this as an outer layer. Or wear it under a parka, if it ever got that cold here. The fit is traditional. An ample traditional. The brushed flannel shell is the softest I've felt. The inner lining is soft. Easy to put on and take off. Except pay attention because it has a sideways bottom button hole. There is a reason for this. Don't force it the wrong way.I think it looks great. The deep red and the not-too-blocky plaid give it an understated look. I think the photo gives an accurate depiction of the color.I’ve only had it a short time. I have not washed it yet, so I don't know how well that will go. Also, with the polyester lining, I wonder how well it breaths. It seems okay, but then again, I have not worn it in high-activity situations.
