Shirt has a nice drape, silky feel. There was a large sticker on the chest advertising the SPF protection. The sticker did not remove cleanly from the fabric and left a clearly visible square at the left chest. I washed the specific area by hand to no avail. I thought mineral oil but I don't know if the oil would permanently stain. I don't want to wash it too much to lose the SPF benefit. I'd wear it as is but my hair catches on it. Annoying, I've never had a sticker on clothes that was so hard to remove.
Hi Lola, We’re sorry about the sticker residue and understand how frustrating that can be. While these stickers are obviously intended to come off clean, environmental changes during storage and/or transit may have caused them to leave behind residue or created weakness in the paper side of the sticker. It's something we're taking seriously and investigating further.
Despite all this, the adhesive should not be permanent. The recommended method would be to saturate the area with isopropyl alcohol or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, allowing it to sit for a minute or two. This should soften the adhesive so it can be picked away with your fingers or blotted away with a cloth.
Alcohol will not damage the fabric, print, or any of the SPF features in any way. If you're still having trouble, please reach out to us at support@americanoutdoorsmangear.com and we'd be happy to assist you further.
